Non-Medical Prescribing Support
Amy Lamb
Hi all!
I’m Amy along with being a registered nurse with prescribing skill doing one day a week as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in General Medicine, I’m wife, mum and of course aesthetic injector in my bijou (this really means small 😊) clinic based in Bramhall. How did I come to get involved in aesthetics well I blame my friend and colleague Helen who said it would be a great side line to enable me to reduce my hrs in the NHS when I wanted to start a family - she just didn’t realise that the family would take a little longer than planned and require 5 rounds of IVF by which time my side line became a fully fledge business, CQC registered and Save Face Accredited. My passion in the industry is patient safety and clinical education something I think we incorporate well in MAPP (Medical Aesthetics Prescribing Programme) a multi disciplinary team of clinicians striving to develop you the practitioner to ensure patient safety. This is where we can help – practical training is all well and good but what about the theory and the none practical skills we require like consultation skills, understanding documentation requirements, knowing where to obtain unbiased evidence based information knowledge and support. A lot of our focus is currently on prescribing in aesthetics but in time as we grow our remit will too and we hope to look at and deliver other none practical elements of aesthetics to support you in your journey to being the best you can be. Favourite Treatment – do you know what I don’t have a favourite treatment but I do have a favourite part of my role and that is the consultation. Spending time talking to patients, really understanding what brought them to me, what their goals are, why its so important and then putting together a treatment plan which isn’t a one stop shop but a journey spread over multiple appointments where we consider all aspects of health and wellbeing physical and psychological.

Anatalia Moore
I am a practicing NHS GP as well as Level 7 trained aesthetic and skin doctor. I love being able to merge my knowledge from both fields to support my patients with skin health as well as aesthetic treatments and would be happy to help if you have any questions that span these areas. The recognition that aesthetic medicine is intimately intertwined with confidence as well as mental and physical health is a big influence on how I practice. I am passionate about taking a holistic approach, encompassing advice on lifestyle, general health as well as prescription skin care and aesthetic treatments into patient treatment plans. I absolutely love understanding the hows and whys for treatments and skin care and wish to pass on this knowledge to patients to allow them to take control at home as well as to make informed decisions about their care. Similarly if you are unsure about products or have questions about skin issues I can absolutely help out. My personal experiences with confidence and identity after becoming a mother, and my frustration with the limitations that conventional general medical practice poses on both how I practice as a doctor as well as when it comes to treatment of dermatological conditions and preventative skin health have been big drivers for me to build my clinic as it is today.

Evidence Based Practice
Caroline Dalton
Hi I’m Caroline, I’m an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist based in London & I’ll be heading up the Journal Club sessions for Happy Injectors Club. I’ve worked in the NHS for 10years across a couple of large hospital Trusts in the capital, and have a background in paediatrics & infectious diseases. I started in aesthetics in 2022 with a genuine interest in skin health (having suffered from severe acne until my late 20s and continue to struggle with eczema and dehydrated skin) but I also looked forward to the flexibility of working for myself and a new challenge- learning practical skills in an entirely new speciality. Aesthetics is a really exciting field to get involved in at the moment, and I’m focused on running my clinic with professionalism and integrity. Treatments I offer are mainly aimed at skin rejuvenation & improving overall tone and texture. A pharmacist will always be a little sceptical of a new medicine/device until they can check the scientific evidence behind its use- which is what I’m bringing to the table with Happy Injectors Club. Existing evidence for a lot of the treatments we do is either scarce or has potential to hold bias, with a number of studies written by the companies that manufacture the drugs/devices. I'll be supporting clinicians to cut through the noise, giving them the tools to appraise any existing evidence, and make decisions to treat their clients based on that where possible. I’ll also be supporting clinicians to write up their own cases, so we can add weight and balance to the evidence base.

Charlotte Hamilton
Hi, I am Charlotte, a learning disability nurse. I have spent most of my working career in secure hospitals working with mental health. It took me 2 years to decide on a training provider for aesthetics. I didn't want to make the wrong choice, I didn't make the best one in the end, and so that's where I all began. I have been injecting for 3 years, and I love it. I love how it transforms people's confidence. I feel the injecting is a small part of your treatment. It's all about making sure the treatment is right for your client, all the medical history etc. My favourite is a botox and microneedling block of treatments. The end if so natural and beautiful. Close runner up is medial cheek, multilayering.

Charlotte Lyon
I'm Charlotte, the medical lead and owner of LYON Medical Beauty Clinic. I’m a senior clinical prescribing pharmacist with over 10 years clinical experience and expertise specialising in advanced toxin, skin boosters, dermal HA fillers, cosmeceuticals, medical grade skincare, prescription only skincare and beauty treatments.
I love breaking the stereotype of aesthetics that everything must be perfect and symmetrical. Enhancing natural beauty and quirks is my favourite.
The treatments I provide are non invasive procedures which help to enhance natural beauty, prevent/reverse premature ageing with the ultimate aim of optimum skin health.
Why did i get into aesthetics?
My doctor friend made me go on the course. She thought with my eye, demeanour, thirst for knowledge and drive I would go far.
My husband seconded this and paid for the course he was that vested haha!
Thirdly i had a nearly one year old so was feeling tired mentally and facially, so aesthetics was something to get my brain in gear and my face fresh.

Gemma Wormwell
My career in aesthetics started in 2018 when I was introduced to medical grade skincare for the first time. After enduring decades of painful cystic acne my love for all things skin began! I opened my own clinic, Skinvestment in early 2023. More recently I have colaborated with my husband and built on his vast experience in the tech industry, to start my own web design business, Web Aesthetic. My drive is to take the scary bits of technology away, liaising with you and the tech team to create your perfect website! I understand life is very busy, having 4 children, a public service job and running my businesses, and I'm here to support in any way I can!

Hannah Russell
Hi, I'm Hannah, mum of two, ex-science teacher and founder of Glowday and Glowday Pro. Moving from a public sector role to a business owner has been the biggest learning curve! I run pretty much all aspects of my business, from product development and demos, through to marketing and accounting. Like many clinics that are 'one man/woman' operated, so too is my business. Over the last 5 years I have learned a whole host of things from marketing, blogging and content creation, through to how to cut costs whilst retaining service, and how to submit a VAT return. I'm thrilled to be able to share some of what I've learnt with you!

Holly Price
Having been a nurse for 22 years I have had a wide range of experience from A&E to Health visiting, being a community matron and a ANP in primary care for the last 7 years. Where I developed a interest in dermatology and mental health. I started Aesthetics in 2014 to combine my passion for art and creativity with my skill of nursing. Being a military wife to a paratrooper (with two beautiful children) meant I was unable to set up a business for very long anywhere due to moving requirements this life entails. Having moved to Cheshire (where we are settling as my husband retired after 24 years’ service) we have finally settled. Now I could finally create my own business with my own vision. Purple Aura Aesthetics Health & Wellbeing was born. My vision from the off set, was to look at my clients holistically. Understanding that aging, skin health, self-esteem and self-perception were often inextricably linked. By moving out of the NHS and becoming my own boss gave me the freedom to develop my own model of care. We are interested in restoring people to the best version of themselves and escaping the trap of feeling they need to become someone else to be loved, healthy or successful. I’m passionate about lifestyle and health and understanding the root causes of disease and how small changes will not only improves someone’s quality of life and health but how it starts from a cellular level to impact them aesthetically. As a result, as part of my business we sell alternative natural medicines including to cutting edge medicinal mushrooms under our own brand and sourced from an incredible lab with the same ethics as ours.

Katy Pilkingtom
Hi, I’m Katy
After working in mainstream healthcare for over 13 years, and having done just about every kind of care you can think of, I wanted to gain new skills in helping those who need caring for, but aren’t necessarily unwell.
Aesthetics was the perfect pathway for this and enabled me to keep my skills and practice to a high standard, whilst remaining patient focused.
As an Occupational Health Nurse, I care for those who are struggling physically, but mostly mentally. Throughout my career I have made mental health and well-being my focus and I enjoy discussing techniques and methods which are clinically proven to be beneficial for mental health.
I also have a real passion for all things Public Health and include holistic care within my treatments. Educating patients about lifestyle choices and changes and then watching them thrive and grow is something that will always be close to my heart.
I am here to support others in any way I can and am always on the other end of a call to help if needed.

Mauro Proserpio
Hi, I am Mauro. I am an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. I graduated and worked in Italy before moving to London in 2006. Here I started working in sexual health, contraception and HIV. I completed my master in 2014. I worked for many years within the sexual health specialty and in 2019, I moved to oncology where I am a clinical nurse specialist in colorectal cancer. I remain passionate about contraception and sexual health and you can often find me advising friends on those topics! I am an independent non-medical prescriber. I am currently on a secondment in my NHS job working as the lead in a non-site-specific Rapid Diagnostic Cancer Clinic within the NHS. I also teach at King’s College University London on the Physical Assessment course at a master level…I love teaching!I always loved Aesthetic and I started having my toxin treatment in my early thirties to help the static lines. I trained in toxins and fillers in 2019 and since then I attended masterclasses and trainings to increase my knowledge. My favourite treatments are skin boosters and toxins.I wished I learnt chemical peels sooner as when I add them to the treatment plan it really makes a difference!I do not treat lips, as I am not confident. I would like to learn more on this. I am a small sole trader business and I am treating friends and their friends for the moment, but looking to grow.If you don’t find me working as a nurse or teaching I am probably running or knitting…2 very different hobbies I have! Oops, nearly forgot, I am part of the NHS LGBTQ+ committee in my trust and I love to make people feel welcomed and to remove any barriers!

Hi, I’m Nabila, a dentist in Lancashire. I started my aesthetics journey in 2021, going for a foundation course as a taster. I found I really enjoyed it and completed my Level 7 in 2022. I’ve just opened my own clinic. The skincare journey is my favourite part of aesthetics. From home skincare to clinic boosts with therapies such as microneedling and skin boosters. Aesthetics and dentistry aside, I am a proud nerd who is super organised. So, if you need information on anything from pharmacies to devices, I can point you in the right direction with our Happy Injectors Club Directory.

Governance
Nicola D'Amelio
Hi I’m Nicola, a RGN and the owner of Nicola D’Amelio Aesthetics. From the early start of my nursing career, I developed a passion for patient safety, quality and clinical governance. I developed a bug (excuse the pun) for Infection Prevention & Control, all areas of Health & Safety and I quickly realised this was a passion I wished to pursue. So fast forward and my career has included experience in all that encompasses governance working in the acute, community and voluntary sectors.
People often ask, “What is Governance?” Well , it is a vital and mandatory part of any healthcare setting and in fact any well run business. It encompasses all that we do as healthcare practitioners’ day to day and as we all know that is a lot! My governance roles and responsibilities included a vast amount of projects from implementing and managing areas such as IP&C, H&S, Service Improvement and Quality to Audit & Research, Policy & Procedures, CQC, Patient Engagement, Complaints, Incident Reporting & Investigation, Management of Medicines, Medical Devices, Buildings & Environment, Legislation Compliance and so much more.
I entered aesthetics in 2021 with the same mind set of providing a holistic, high quality, safe service and my passion for governance has continued through setting up my own clinic.
Governance is such a vital part of our practice; however it is not for everyone and can often be classed by some as the boring laborious bit! Working with our lovely patients I agree is the nicest part and the governance and paperwork are often the bits practitioners put off until later or never actually want to start! Well with my super passion for all the ‘boring bits’ I am happy to encourage and support!
