My background is in pharmacy. Qualified in 2012 and have worked in the NHS ever since, completing further education, doing a clinical diploma and prescribing qualification. I am an advanced clinical pharmacist in respiratory medicine.

Hi Helen, What’s your background role?

I’ve been nursing over 40 years, with a few exciting twists along the way! I trained as a midwife (even delivered 2 of my nieces!), but I missed caring for older people – so at 25, I set up and opened a nursing home. This was one of my greatest achievements, such hard work, all consuming, but an amazing experience and so rewarding. After 13 years and with a young family I decided to return to a part time role in the NHS. In primary care I completed a BSc in Community Health and General Practice and Independent Prescribing.

12 years clinical experience within Emergency Medicine comprising of 4 years qualified RGN (4
years study via Open university prior). I am now in training to complete a Masters in Advanced
Clinical Practice moving into the medical model of care in Emergency Medicine.

I am an advanced nurse practitioner working in rheumatology in a large NHS Trust in Manchester.

Since 2018, but had a 12-month break during COVID.

I’m a dental therapist in a private practice. I qualified in 2016 from the university of Liverpool and worked in general dentistry for around 4 years and then began my career in aesthetics.
