October can be a bit of a funny month for a clinic. After the lull of the summer holidays and a flurry of September patients it can feel eerily quiet! Couple that with the recent economic “issues” (that’s the polite word!) and it can leave you feeling worried about when the next patient is going to book.
Speaking from experience, I find this is just the calm before the storm; the simple truth is a lot of your patients will be trying to stretch their appointments until well into to November so they are looking as good as possible for the Christmas and party season and are being mindful about over spending.
When Lucy and I did our zoom follow up with Nicky after she had done our business course, she said something you might find helpful: “you don’t have to be IN your business to be working ON your business”.
This is so true!
So my advice to you if you are in a bit of a lull at the moment would be this is a great time to be working ON your business: review your emergency protocols, review your aftercare texts/leaflets, review your prices, review your possible offers and incentives, remind patients about ALL the fabulous treatments you do (not just the ones they usually book), make sure all the paperwork you keep meaning to do is done etc, because it seriously is only a matter of weeks before you are super busy and those things will get put on the back burner again!
Do it now while you have the time and head space for it.
Getting yourself ready is just as important as getting your patients ready.
